MATTER solution by BREL HOME

ZonVak Magazine published an article in September about our introduction of BREL MATTER: 'This year, BREL HOME launched several MATTER solutions for indoor sun protection at the R+T fair, as the start for the total introduction of MATTER at BREL HOME. As a leading developer in the world of drives and controls, BREL HOME has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance, abbreviated as CSA.'

'This alliance includes tech giants like Apple, Google, and Amazon, along with more than 200 other manufacturers of equipment within the Internet of Things (IoT) field. The CSA has developed the Matter communication protocol to make the many smart home devices that have been and are being developed compatible with each other.

BREL also now has motors that have MATTER onboard. "MATTER is a universal 'language' used to enable products to communicate with each other," says Reinoud Arts. "With Google, Apple, and Amazon as the major driving forces behind the CSA, you will no longer have to worry about the connectivity of products controlled via radio signals. The time when products only communicated with controls of their own brand is over. Everything that is operated via a remote control or an app in or around the house and has MATTER onboard will be able to be connected in an extremely simple way."

Erik Budding adds: "The integration of home automation into the user's daily life will become even stronger. In principle, everything controlled by MATTER can soon be operated via smartphone, tablet, or voice command. See MATTER as a universal language that can be spoken via any frequency, whether that is WIFI, Bluetooth, Thread, or Zigbee. MATTER is really intended to maximize the compatibility of products."
