'Ambassador for solar technology of BREL HOME

Through Degalux, Kevin came into contact with the solar technology of BREL HOME. Since then, his company has been a true ambassador for the Doetinchem-based BREL. He explains: “Degalux has included BREL's battery motors and solar panels as standard in their program. For me as an installer, it's great to work with them, I finish installations faster and don't have to drill holes through the wall. My customers usually aren't familiar with the technology, but they're pleasantly surprised that it exists. When we discuss the control method and the BREL HOME app comes into view, they're overjoyed. It's easy to sell because it's mature technology. Perhaps the fact that we, as a young company, promote this relatively new technology is also decisive for the customer. We're now at a level where almost all shutters and screens we install are equipped with BREL battery motors with solar panels.”'

Kevin still has to sell the first articulated arm awning with a BREL battery motor, but he's already looking forward to it. “It's very simple. Outfitting shutters and screens with battery motors and solar panels provides installation convenience and no unsightly holes in the wall, next to the window. With articulated arm awnings, it's different: bringing a 230 Volt cable inside is almost never ideal due to the width of a terrace awning. You're always either guiding the cable outside to a point where drilling inside is still possible, or you end up at a point inside where you don't want to be and then have to run a cable to a power supply point. How wonderful is it that BREL has developed a battery motor for articulated arm awnings? Hang it up, adjust it, settle the bill. Installers happy and the customer happy. And the customer can comfortably provide ample shade from their own terrace using the BREL HOME app from their lounge chair. In that respect, we live in wonderful times!”
